Here are some brief answers to common questions that we usually receive, though if you have any specific questions, please feel free to contact us.
Q. Do I need to be ex-military to attend your training?
A. No, we work with all skills levels and previous experiences.
Q. How do I book training?
A. Easy, choose dates, fill in the booking form and wait for us to contact you. If you have any questions just ask!
Q. How do I get to your location?
A. We can provide you with a full list of fast and easy travel options and how to book direct with travel carriers. Our 'No Hassle' travel pack can be provided on request no problems. All in country travel is covered by us.
Q. Hotel at training location?
A. Yes, we will reserve rooms for the course duration at a Hotel located 10 minutes from the training location, you will benefit from our corporate discount rate, this is explained in the 'No Hassle' travel pack. The Hotel facilitates our clients with on-suite rooms, TV, Internet, Sauna, restaurant and bar as well as being close to numerous bars, restaurants and Ski lifts.
Q. Who are you associated with?
A. We have no affiliation or partnership to any company, other than ISS Ltd and UKSecNet.
Q. Are there any restrictions on who can train?
A. Yes, Article 9 of Swiss Federal Law states that it is prohibited for persons from the Former Yugoslavia, Croatia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Algeria and Albania, this law also implies that it is our discretion who we train and who we don't. You can access the Swiss Government website on our links page.
Q. What kit should I bring?
A. All PPE is provided by us, please bring the following:
• 511 Style Trousers
• Fleece
• Goretex
• Hiking style boots / shoes
• Belt, either 511 Tactical or similar, width max 1.5 inch
• Daysack
• Normal amount of clothing for course duration
• Drivers Licence
• Passport
Q. I can not travel to Switzerland, are there other options?
A. Yes, contact us with your requirements.
Q. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure?
A. Yes, We maintain a strict Security and non disclosure policy and will not share any data or information on our Clients, Projects, Civilian or Government, foreign or domestic to any third party.
Q. What qualifications do you award?
A. All of our firearms courses are accredited by the NRA certification program and enhanced by NRA skills awards programs, the Non-lethal program is accredited by the Monadnock Police Training Council. The Tactical Surveillance course is accredited by the NCFE BTEC level 3 and Edexcel through ISS Training Ltd.. These certificated accreditations are the international standard and recognized in the law enforcement, military and security professions worldwide.
Q. Are you SIA registered?
A. No, The SIA or being SIA 'Registered' has nothing to do with firearms / non-lethal training. Some companies use this to suggest that their firearms / non-lethal training is approved by the SIA. This is illegal and should be reported. Though, a qualification in security or a security-related discipline obtained overseas may be used as an exemption from some training. Q. What is section 5 of the UK Gun Laws?
A. The UK except Northern Ireland has stringent laws that prohibits the ownership and use of firearms.
Q. What sort of weapons do we use?
A. We train with Glock, Sig Sauer P250Dc, Heckler & Koch Handguns, Remington 870 Pump Action Shotguns, Heckler & Koch MP5, SIG 552 Commando, AK74M, AKSU74, and M4 Assault Carbines.
Q. How do I pay?
A: We will issue you an invoice once you have completed the online booking form and have been accepted for training, you can pay the indicated amounts via Bank Transfer, Giro or Credit / Debit cards, please note that a 3% charge applies to all Credit / Debit card transactions.
Q. Do I need Insurance?
A: Insurance is included in the course by a leading Swiss Insurance company for Tactical Firearms Training as required by Swiss Law.
Q. Define 'Tactical' Training'?
A. 'Tactical' is defined as pertaining to a maneuver or plan of action designed as an expedient toward gaining a desired end or temporary advantage. Tactical Training teaches you how to 'Plan, Recognize, Think, Move, Fight and Escape', and for a Civilian CPO this means that you will apply your Tactical Training and IA drills to survive and escape from a potential or threatening situation.
